Meet the Forum Champions

Some of the young people are on tour! You can read about their travels around the UK and if you go to a Public Event in your area you can meet them too.

The Forum Champions are actively involved in this web site, and on hand to answer your questions via our Forum. Join in now!

Forum Champion James

My name is James. I’m 16 and studying Acting at New College Nottingham. I’m hoping to start driving when 17 so I don’t have to rely on my parents. I got involved to express my views on driving and hear other people.

Forum Champion Jenny

I’m Jenny, 19 years old and I have a full UK drivers licence. I did a semi-intensive course one year ago and passed first time. I am currently studying sociology BA at Nottingham Trent University. I sold my car because I can’t afford the insurance - being a student! Plus Nottingham is great for public transport (tram system). I am taking part in the Young People’s Forum because I like the thought of young people’s views being heard.

Forum Champion Tom

My name is Samuel, 19, and currently studying Computing at De Montfort University Leicester. I am also a Youth Councillor for Nottingham City Youth Council. This forum interested me because what I will learn and achieve in it means I can report back to the Youth Council and share information with them and vice versa.

Forum Champion Samuel

Hi, my name’s Tom and I attend the Nottingham Emmanuel School, and am currently doing my AS levels. I joined this Forum to further the work I do on the Nottingham City Youth Council, which involves getting young peoples’ voices heard and eradicating the negative stereotype of young people which is found in the media.
