The Need for Change

Over the past ten years Britain’s roads have become safer.
The number of people killed or injured has fallen by a third, making road travel in the UK safer than almost anywhere else in the world. But there’s still a long way to go:

We need to find better ways of preparing people to be safe drivers. Changes to the way we learn to drive are needed now to produce safer more aware drivers for the future. So, to help develop a new training, testing and driving for life programme we are talking to experts, but we want to hear views and opinions from members of the public too.
